Alex Luedtke | Statistical Methods and Causal Inference Researcher | Member of the Faculty at Harvard Medical School
I'm a statistician in Harvard Medical School's Department of Health Care Policy. From 2016 to 2025, I was a faculty member in the University of Washington's Department of Statistics and Fred Hutch's Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division.
Here are some areas I work in:
- Causal machine learning: generative AI • policy learning • data fusion
- Automated statistical inference: probabilistic programming • numerical methods • meta-learning
- Nonparametrics: debiased inference • nonregular problems • sieves
I apply the methods I develop to problems in infectious diseases and mental health.
My work has been supported by the NIH, NSF, WHO, Netflix, and Amazon.
